PROJECT SCOPE
We were appointed to design a temporary works solution to allow the installation of the permanent RC beam. The temporary works and permanent RC beam were required to support the flank wall of an existing 5-storey residential property to allow for space creation for a new lift pit.
FORCE SOLUTION
Our temporary works solution was to install double heavy duty sacrificial stools in discrete pockets within the existing masonry wall to allow us to steel fix, shutter, and pour the RC pynford beam. The stools were designed to support a UDL of 300kN/m.
