CASE STUDY:
Temporary Work Roof Retention, Demolition, & Underpinning
VALUE:
£126,500
FORCE SOLUTION
We were appointed to design and install a temporary works solution to support the roof structure to enable the demolition of the existing blockwork wall that had failed as a result of subsidence. Following the installation of the temporary works to support of the roof, we completed the demolition of the failed blockwork, installed a new strip footing, and reinstated the blockwork.
The house structure adjacent to the failed blockwork was underpinned in a hit-one-miss-two underpinning sequence to prevent the risk of differential movement between the reinstated blockwork and the adjoining remaining structure.
